DINNER OF LOVE Octodad Shorts - Episode 1
Dad Romance is the first of the two DLC levels. It revolves around Octodad's first date with Scarlet in a fancy restaurant.
Plot[]
Octodad and Scarlet, arrive at a restaurant, but upon approaching the host, they discover that there’s no reservation under Octodad's name. In a bid to get seated, Octodad shakes the jackets hanging on nearby coat racks until one of them drops wads of cash. He picks up a bundle and offers it to the host as a bribe. The host accepts and leads the couple to their table. Once seated, Octodad awkwardly swings his leg over the chair opposite Scarlet and picks up the menu. He signals for a waiter by swinging his arm in the air. The waiter brings over water, and Octodad drinks it with little regard for spilling. Afterward, the waiter arrives with glasses of wine, and Octodad clinks his glass with Scarlet’s before trying to drink it, inevitably spilling the juice all over himself. This prompts him to leave for the bathroom, where he cleans up. In the bathroom, Octodad washes up before heading back to Scarlet.
However, as he exits, he’s called into the kitchen with Chef Fujimoto. In the kitchen, Octodad stirs a pot of sauce, steps on grapes in a bucket to make juice, fills a jug, and takes it back to Scarlet’s table to refill their wine glasses. After sitting down again, the waiter brings bread and butter. Octodad uses the knife to spread butter on the bread and eats it. Soon, he’s summoned to clear other tables. He picks up the menus from his table, listens to the customers' orders, and heads to the next table to add pepper to their salads. He’s then tasked with delivering a fancy dessert platter to a family at the far end of the restaurant, placing a cake in front of them. Back at Scarlet’s table, Octodad enjoys the appetizers before being called back to the kitchen once again. After fulfilling various tasks, like delivering pizza to another couple, Octodad finally returns to Scarlet and eats some salad with a fork. Later, he clears a table next to Scarlet and heads back to the kitchen to clean up and eventually brings dessert to Scarlet.
