Upon entering the kid's room, Stacy is frightened by the idea of monsters in her room, a fear stirred up by Tommy. She explains that she can't let go of her "octodoll" if she's scared. As a loving father, Octodad sets out to banish her fears. Octodad checks the closet for monsters, where he discovers the Chef hiding inside before he disappears. He stomps on spiders found around the room, reads a book to his daughter. After she falls asleep, Octodad finds a substitute doll to replace her octodoll. Once the new doll is retrieved, Octodad quietly sneaks out of the room without waking her.
