Octodad’s meets Tommy in the World of Kelp who isn't excited about the learning. They start off with Octodad spinning the globe and hitting the correct colored buttons as they pass by. After that, Octodad has a choice: take the stairs or slide down the slide (naturally, the slide is more fun). In the next room, several tasks await him. The slider game, where Octodad must move a giant puck over nine sections to reveal them, the giant solar wheel to raise the two kelp cutouts on either side. a game where Octodad has to grab the top of a kelp, and a spore mini-game about combining one blue and green spore to make kelp. Octodad slides down another slide and heads to a new area where he uses an otter to save kelp from urchins. Finally, Octodad reaches the huge playground, where he must climb a path while avoiding spores being tossed at him and being careful not to fall through planks that can break under his weight. Once there, he meets Tommy, who, up until this point, has shown little enthusiasm for learning or engaging with the tasks. However, after the chaos of the playground and the final slide, Tommy seems to finally become excited and eager to learn.
